Parking Rates
In April of 2025, the Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) set in motion a Parking Modernization Plan that will bring needed improvements to the parking operation here at the airport. The BAA restructured rates for the first time since 2008 and approved the reconfiguration of the first level of the parking deck. The new rates will go into effect on July 1, 2025 and the revenue generated from the increases will help to pay for new technology and various projects that will greatly enhance the customer experience here at BHM.
You have options when it’s time to park at the airport.
The Parking Deck is located adjacent to the terminal and features both hourly and daily parking.
The Economy Lot is located just to the right when heading up Messer Airport Highway. Economy parking is quick and easy with shuttles running continuously to and from the terminal.
Parking Rates for Self-Parking
Hourly
Hourly parking is intended for anyone parking less than four (4) hours at the airport.
$1.00/hour

For hourly parking, follow the signs to the entrance ramp of the parking deck, and proceed to level 3 to park.
Max Height for this area is 6’2.
Daily
Daily parking is intended for anyone parking more than four (4) hours at the airport

For daily parking, follow the signs to the entrance ramp of the parking deck, and proceed to level 2 or levels 4 through 7.

Economy
The economy lot is intended for passengers parking their vehicles for an extended amount of time. Shuttles run continuously, 24/7.

This lot is located on Airline Drive near the terminal area. Turn right off Messer Airport Highway at University Avenue. Turn left onto Airline Drive.
Oversized
Oversize parking (other than Handicapped/Van accessible) will soon be relocated to the Economy Lot.

Valet Parking
Easy and Convenient Valet Parking at BHM
Valet parking is a convenient option for guests looking to save time during their visit to BHM. Curbside valet service is located on the departing flight ramp.
Just follow the overhead valet parking signs, pull up to the valet kiosk, and leave your car with the valet. Our professional valet team ensures a positive experience, and we provide curb to curb service for your convenience.
Upon your return, we will deliver your vehicle to you at the Valet Pick-up site. For those who are traveling and using long-term airport parking, you can trust that your vehicle is safe and secure.
To expedite your curbside check-in and vehicle pick-up, we recommend booking your valet parking reservation online in advance of your arrival at the airport.

Limousine and Shuttle
Limousine and shuttle services operate by reservation only. To make arrangements for shuttle or limousine service, please contact one of the companies listed here prior to your arrival at the airport.
Rental Cars
Rental cars can be conveniently picked up and dropped off. Be sure to contact your rental car company directly by clicking here if you have any inquiries concerning reservations or will experience a delayed flight.
Taxi Service
Taxi service from the airport is available 24/7. Several taxi companies are located on the ground level just outside of baggage claim. Cabs are independently owned and operated. Click here for a list of companies.
Uber
Rideshare providers, Raiser, LLC (Uber) and Lyft are authorized to provide pick-up services at BHM. Uber and Lyft may pick up passengers at the Airport’s Arrivals/Lower-Level terminal curbside.
Pick-Up
If you are picking up passengers from the airport, please follow the signs for “Arrivals” and use the ground level access ramp to approach the terminal. Please note: when picking up passengers, drivers are required to stay with their vehicles at all times. For prolonged waiting times, please use Hourly parking in the parking deck or the Cell Phone Waiting Lot in order to keep traffic congestion to a minimum. If you would like to greet your passengers as they arrive in the terminal, please park in the Hourly parking lot, then proceed to the lower level of the terminal. All arriving passengers will exit the concourse to the lower level of the terminal, so you will have no problem meeting your passenger!
Cell Phone Lot
The Cell Phone Lot is a parking area provided for drivers waiting to pick up arriving passengers. This lot accommodates up to 40 vehicles and is a free service with no time limit. Drivers are required to stay with their vehicles while waiting on their passengers to contact them by phone that they are ready for pickup. The Cell Phone Lot is located at 5600 Airline Drive.

Should you find that your car battery has died, the Birmingham Airport Authority will assist by starting your car FREE OF CHARGE. Simply contact the Birmingham Airport Authority at 205-599-0726 or use one of the yellow call boxes located throughout the parking deck. In addition, you may inquire at the Airport’s Operation Center located on the lower level inside the terminal.
A BHM airport shuttle will transport you and your luggage to and from the terminal building. Shuttles operate continuously between the lot and the terminal area.
You may contact a member of the Birmingham Airport Authority at 205-599-0726 or by using one of the yellow call boxes located throughout the parking deck. There is also a courtesy phone located throughout the terminal for assistance as well. In addition, you may inquire at the Airport’s Operation Center located on the lower level inside the terminal..
