The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport charges into the future
Birmingham, Alabama – The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is excited to offer parking guest an electrifying amenity. BHM recently installed nine Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers in their parking deck for passengers and guest to use. These EV chargers are located on two levels of the deck. Three EV Chargers are available in hourly parking guests on the third level in section C. The other six EV chargers are in Daily Parking Section C for guests traveling for an extended period. EV owners will have access to the chargers beginning today.
Alabama Power partnered with the Birmingham Airport Authority to install these nine Electric Vehicle Chargers in the parking deck. BHM is the first airport in the state to offer this amenity to its guests and passengers. “The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport continues its work towards an environmentally sustainable existence within our community and a world-class airport,” said Michael Bell, Chairman of the Board for the Birmingham Airport Authority. “We are pleased to offer this complimentary service to our passengers.”
The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is the largest airport in Alabama regarding passenger traffic. BHM is served by five airlines that serve the community with over 120 daily departures to 18 airports in 15 cities.
