Easier way to pay at BHM

Birmingham, Al – The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) is making travel easier and still more convenient than before. Recent upgrades to the airport’s parking deck included a new parking revenue control system. This new system allows BHM users to tailor their experience more to their way of life. For those on the go there is an easier way to pay with BHM’s new Pay on Foot stations located in each baggage claim area. Travelers and airport users can take their parking ticket with them and pay inside using a credit or debit card. Once they have paid, they can drive up to the express lane; insert their ticket at the gate and go. The new pay-on-foot stations accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Another new feature of BHM’s parking revenue control system is a greener and paperless way to pay. Avoid losing your paper ticket or your endless search for your paper ticket by using the airport’s new revenue control system with credit card entry. Passengers and airport users can now slide their credit cards to gain entry to park. Upon their return, using the same credit card they can pay and exit the airport’s different parking lots.

Both of these new features are available for airport users parking in the airport’s Hourly, Daily, and Economy lots. Airport ambassadors are available in the terminal to assist passengers with using the new stations. “Our passengers are on the go and we want to make it easier for them which is why we have implemented this automated way to pay,” said Toni Herrera-Bast, Birmingham Airport Authority PR/Marketing Manager.
