Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport launches mobile website

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA — The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) launched its mobile website in an on-going effort to provide its passengers with technology and convenience.

"The new mobile website is another way in which BHM shows our commitment to providing superior information and services to our passengers," said Al Denson, President/CEO for the Birmingham Airport Authority.

Mobile users will automatically be redirected to the appropriate version of the mobile site. The main website will continue to be accessible to mobile users who prefer to view it. The new mobile website features flight tracking capability allowing users to acquire real time flight information via their device at anytime. This will be especially helpful for departing passengers on their way to BHM or for those who are picking up passengers at BHM. BHM is one of the first airports of its size in the country to offer this unique mobile flight tracking service. Mobile devices have become popular for those who require the convenience and assistance from traditional computer in an environment where it is not practical. Over 11 percent of BHM passengers are accessing the site on mobile devices.
