BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA – Birmingham Airport Authority President/CEO, Al Denson received Regions Financial Black Achievers Awardsí 2008 Corporate Executive of the Year at a gala on June 21, 2008.
"It's a great privilege to be recognized for an award that signifies excellence in professionalism and community service," said Al Denson, President/CEO, Birmingham Airport Authority, "Being in the top seat at the airport authority gives me the opportunity to make a difference in our community through different initiatives such as our golf for schools event and Newspapers in Education."
In its inaugural year, The Black Achievers Awards Gala's purpose is to recognize the achievements of African-American leaders throughout the state, the gala was hosted by Oliver Robinson Foundation and the award was presented by Regions Financial Corporation.
